I am moving to/from a military address. Can I change my address through Updater? |
Updater is unable to process mail forwarding requests as the USPS requires these types of address changes to be completed in person at your local post office or directly on the USPS website using an email address ending in .gov or .mil. |
Am I able to file a change of address form with a hyphenated last name? |
Absolutely! When you file a change of address order with a hyphenated last name, the USPS will send you two different confirmation letters, one for each last name. Don’t worry though, all mail addressed to the hyphenated last name will still arrive at your new address as usual. |
Can I submit a change of address form for a deceased person? | According to the USPS, to receive mail on behalf of a deceased person, legal authorization (such as an Executor) must be provided in person or by mail, along with a COA form to the local Post Office of the deceased. You'll need to contact the old post office to complete the change of address order. |
