We here at Updater have a process of forwarding your mail that is easy and convenient for our customers however it doesn't link to USPS internal systems which is why we do not have the confirmation code for your mail forwarding that they were asking for. (Note: this code can only be obtained by paying for and completing this process directly on the USPS website.)
The USPS requires identity verification for all mail forwarding. After Updater submits your mail forwarding request to the USPS, you will receive a letter in the mail containing a unique barcode. Please follow the instructions to verify your identity. USPS may send confirmation to both your old and new addresses. The barcode expires 20 days after the letter is sent. If it has not been received or if it has been misplaced, please visit your local USPS with a valid ID to verify your identity to activate your mail forwarding request.
