We understand that it's important for you to activate your mail forwarding. Not verifying your identity may result in your mail not being forwarded or being held at the local post office near your old address.
The USPS requires identity verification for all mail forwarding. After Updater submits your mail forwarding request to the USPS, you should have received a letter in the mail containing a unique barcode. Please follow the instructions to verify your identity. USPS may send confirmation to both your old and new addresses. The barcode expires 20 days after the letter is sent. If it has not been received or if it has been misplaced, please visit your local USPS with a valid ID to verify your identity to activate your mail forwarding request.
If you'd like us to confirm that your change of address form was correctly filed, please contact us and we'll be happy to look into it further.
The USPS is responsible for handling the actual forwarding of the mail and will be able to provide you with information about your mail or assist you in submitting a new form. You can also submit a new form by visiting the USPS website here.
