A Certificate of Insurance provides proof of insurance in case they damage any areas within the building during the move. Typically, you’ll only need this if you are moving in or out of an apartment building or in urban areas.
If you’re unsure if you need one, please check with your property manager to confirm. This helps ensure that you move goes as smoothly as possible!
All moves are facilitated by Dolly, an Updater company. You will be redirected to Dolly to complete all moving related tasks.
Dolly can help provide you with a COI for your landlord or property manager.
Please contact the Dolly team and mention needing a copy of our COI information in your message, they'll reply shortly with a copy.
You may request a modified COI from the Dolly Support Team as well. Please note that they require a minimum of 24 business hours before your scheduled Dolly for processing. However, depending on queues, this may take longer. Please be prepared to share the following information or a PDF COI sample from your landlord or property manager:
- Certificate holder name:
- Certificate holder mailing address:
- List of additional insureds:
- List of any other insurance requirements from the building (this may be a COI template or pdf of COI requirements from your building's management team):
- Customer name:
- Customer unit number:
- Delivery date:
Please note that if a Dolly has been completed, we will be unable to provide a modified COI at that time.
