We need to verify that you are who you say you are via phone, therefore, we’ve implemented a few security measures that affect the kinds of phone numbers we accept.
We can only accept:
- Landlines
- Cell phones with a carrier account/service provider
We cannot accept the below for security reasons:
- Pre-paid cell phones
- Google Voice numbers
If you've confirmed that you are using a valid phone but are still receiving an error message, it likely means that you broke your security token when claiming your free Updater account. Not to fear! Just reach out to our Customer Experience team and we'll help you complete the process.
